- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent and fragrant.
- Add ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks (about 5-7 minutes).
- Stir in garlic and bell pepper; cook until softened.
- Mix in tomato sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover partially and simmer on low heat for at least 30 minutes for flavors to meld.
