  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. 2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with beaten eggs, one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning, and one with grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. 3. Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs followed by Parmesan cheese.
  4. 4. Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. 5. In the last five minutes of baking, add marinara sauce on top of each chicken breast and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese. Return to the oven until bubbly.
