Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons garlic and ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Β½ teaspoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Fresh cilantro and lemon juice for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Marinate chicken in yogurt, garlic and ginger paste, and half of the spices for at least 30 minutes.
- 2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated chicken until browned. Remove and set aside.
- 3. In the same skillet, add remaining spices and crushed tomatoes; cook for about 5 minutes.
- 4. Stir in coconut milk and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 5. Return chicken to the skillet; let everything simmer together for another 10 minutes.
- 6. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro and lemon juice.
