Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  3. Arrange half of the potato slices in the dish. In a bowl, mix heavy cream with minced garlic, salt, and pepper; pour half over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  4. Layer the remaining potato slices on top, pour the rest of the cream mixture over them, and finish with the remaining cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
