  • 1 large crusty bread loaf (sourdough recommended)
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano and basil)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice off the tops of the bread loaves and hollow out the insides.
  2. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Combine cooked spaghetti with marinara sauce, sautéed garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Fill each bread bowl with the spaghetti mixture and top with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake on a baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
