  • 6–8 fresh lemons (about 1 cup lemon juice)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup sliced fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • 1 cup cucumber slices
  • 1 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Juice the lemons into a measuring cup until you have about 1 cup of juice.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water; stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a large pitcher, mix lemon juice with cooled syrup and add 4 cups cold water; stir well.
  4. Divide the lemonade base into three pitchers or jars; add berries to one jar, cucumber slices to another, and ginger to the last.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves or additional fruit slices.
